Trane Model Information
There are 2 types of Trane models: M and R. Your HP/tonnage is signified by the first number, followed by the electrical, then the unloading sequence, and finally the voltage.
NOTE: All letters/numbers in a Trane model number help identify the correct unit needed.
Electrical
- A – 200/60/3
- B – 230/460/60/3
- C – 460/60/3
- D – 575/60/3
- W – 230/60/3
Cylinder Layout
- 3 and 4 CYL will have a 2 or 3 after the electrical
- 6 CYL will have a 2 or 4 after the electrical
Control Voltage
- A – 115 VAC
- B – 230 VAC
Terminal Box
- T – Top Mounted
- S – Side Mounted
